126 Fyi
Since the low fuel light was just coming on in my 86 126 300SD, I wanted to know how much fuel was left in the tank. So I drained the tank to see how much came out.
About 2.1 gallons came out which should be good for about 60 miles. I also wanted to know how much a full tank would hold so I measured the amount to fill it. I put the 2.1 gallons reserve back in and another 21.7 gallons filled the tank. That's a total of 23.8 gallons. P E H Last edited by P.E.Haiges; 04-13-2008 at 07:06 PM. |

Was that filled up so high that it leveled off just below the fuel cap? Because I usually fill mine almost that high.
Its scary, 23.6 * 4.15 (current diesel price here) is $97.94! Only 208 cents away from being a $100 tank! It's not far away....

pawoSD,
Yes, filled right to the top. So I should be able to go 700 miles on a full tank. P E H |
