1993 300D 2.5 Turbo Fuel Pump Leak
When the car is garaged for a week or longer, the fuel pump leak at the base of the delivery valve holder. No leak at operating temp. Thank you for any idea take me to the diagnosis

There are o-rings inside the delivery valve holders.
You need a special splined socket to remove and torque the delivery valve holders. There's also a special torque sequence that's in some MB service book but not the basic 300D shop manual. Sixto 87 300D |
This thread has good detail - http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/158047-fuel-leak-diagnosed-but-how-replace-rubber-seals.html

I don't think this point was made in that otherwise informative thread -
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/911422-post11.html It's the technical data manual (TDM) that has the torque procedure not found in the factory service manual (FSM). Sixto 87 300D |
