I'd much rather have the Accord diesel. Have fun looking for a hydrogen station.

Good luck finding an accord diesel.
Unless you want to import euro goodness... in which case a new Mondeo would be a better choice...

You should be able to buy one here next fall. If so we will own one.

It always takes less energy to keep a car on the road for 25 years than to make a new replacement every 3-5 years.

I agree, but certainly there are variables.

Yeah, like the difference of variables between a Honda and a Hyundai.

Bah... my 9,000 pound truck gets 1600 miles on a fill up...
Course it takes near 85 gallons to fill her up... |

Nearly 19 mpg's isn't bad for a 9000# truck.

Yep. Its actually hella good really. Particularly when you consider it has 4.10 rear end. But the only way I get it is to stick to a steady 65 mph. If I go over that it sinks like a rock... And of course thats not towing anything real bigger than that trailer there. When I tow the Camper (flat front and 7500 pounds) it drops to 15 or less.

Camry hybrid gets better than that!
The Camry hybrid gets 40 city/38 hwy. The hybrids get better mileage in the city because it's using the electric motor, uses gas on the hwy.
It's a great start. Hopefully they'll get the hybrids to where they really give more from the electric motor. jeff |

Which is worse than any normal VW TDI. Make a hybrid TDI and it would walk all over the Camry's low economy.

Heck... my old 83 300D gets almost that now. 27 and 30. I could take a cutting torch to it and probably reduce it weight and maybe achieve that. Thats a 25 year old car! Didn't the old Rabbit Diesel do better than that with old technology?
