Crap, 1.33 now? Man, I was irked when it was 1.29. Oh well, not much I can do about it other than suck it up. Good thing I'm only putting on about 600km a month...

It wasn't serious ... good lord. I spend a great portion of my time considering and discussing the economic situation in this country, including of course the price of oil and fuel. It is an extremely dismal topic, but one that can't be avoided. But forgive me if I want to occasionally pop off with a silly comment now ... it's simply in the spirit of taking a few seconds every day to laugh, even if at one's own misfortune, because otherwise the weight of mankind's general depravity just becomes suffocating.

I don't make "rationales." It is what it is. I couldn't fool myself if I wanted to. That said, I'm also not shallow enough to fool myself into thinking an oil company is to blame for an entire nation's discretionary flub.

BTW, I stopped at that Exxon because it was convenient.

Highest I've seen around here is $4.25.....it can still be had as low as $4.09 in the right places though....however they are extremely few and none are near me....so I've been paying about $4.15 or $4.19 lately....

I actually did not see the smiley (long week, I'm losing it) ... so yeah, sans smiley it had a much gruffer tone! Oh, the pitfalls of an unseen emoticon ...

Sorry about that. No harm done.

$4.28 in Panama City Beach, FL when I was down there last week for spring break (did not have to fill up on the entire trip, but did burn the last of my oil and biodiesel). Its $3.89 at my regular local place.
