Been there, Done that.
Add 1 qt of ATF for every gal of gas, then run it out.
No worries

Add veggie oil ....

or perhaps b100 if available to help lubricate the injector pump after draining some or all of the mix from the fuel tank.

Thanks to all who helped. I had the car towed last night and drained the tank. Today I changed the filters and used Mityvac to pull fuel through the lines. Started it - it chugged and died. I pressed the primer pump a couple of times and it started, ran a little rough and smoothed out.

Ahhh i had to be mentioned They were sparks! not flames! And since the engine is running so well still im going to call it carbon build up. I wouldnt be scared to run the 8 gallons of gas through the system, But not without adding 2 cycle oil and a certane booster. And retarding the IP until it stopped knocking. And gasoline is basically adding huge ammounts of octane to the system, Octane is the opposite of certane. certane makes the fuel, burn faster, where as octane makes the fuel burn slower. (But still at a much higher rate than diesel)

1981 240d (engine donor 1983 240d) recently rebuilt engine hurray! - No more.. fought a tree and the tree won.

pearl black 1983 240d 4speed (Converted!@$$%) atleast the tranny was rebuilt.
