I have heard that if you remove the vacume hose from the EGR and plug it, you will get better mpgs and more power. I did that this morning on my way to work and the car was so slow. It was so slow I had to pull over and put the hose back on, but it was still slow. Got to work, I was worried all day that I screwed something up. But on the way back home the car was running good and fast again. What happend, what caused the car to go so slow?

When you unplug the EGR on the '92/'93 you disable the boost. Go to the diesel forum, it is discussed fairly regularly.
