Pressure washing steering box before rebuild?
I finally got my used steering box, and I plan on rebuilding. I'm going to pressure wash the outside of it, but I was just curious as to how much damage will be done if water gets inside (pre-rebuild, I will be pulling this unit apart). Thanks!

None to Not much if you are rebuilding really soon after washing it, and the seals are still good.

Why pressure wash it in the first place? Simply get a bucket of warm water with simple green dissolved in it. Sponge the grime off, rinse, dry. Mission accomplished - no water inside steering box.
