The classics center can make you one....

Classic center mercedes can only get you Black or Blue 2nd edition (after 1982 in this case) interior parts for W123.

The armrests were an opt-in option on all world versions of the W123.
For the USA versions they were the opposite, W123 had them by default, you could select the delete option.

So the armrest must have been a option up to 1982 then standard. I checked out the window sticker for my 81 and all it has is that there is a rear armrest, no mention of the front armrest.

The code option wont be on the window sticker. The best way to check is on the plate on the side of the hood lock. You can match the option against a code option list.
Armrests were standard on all USA W123.
