well, i totally understand theyre trying to make money, of course they are. But if they priced Bio at 10 cents UNDER petro, i wouldnt fill up anywhere else and i bet alot of people would do the same, then he could make alot more money. Plus, this place has no business charging a premium for fuel, its completely out of the way and their hours are terrible! i have a theory that the guy keeps prices above petro diesel so he doesnt have to increase his production, he seem to be alot more interested in his ebay biz every time im in there! It is possible, though, that with their overhead and costs that their margin isnt all that big, but i doubt it.
I read somewhere that someone is building the biggest Biodiesel refinery in the world here in houston and that its gunna be operational this summer, maybe that will help. i saw an entire train full of tanker cars (the kind that normally carry gas or LPG) but they were all labeled "edible beef tallow", maybe it was on its way to my fuel tank. as "edible"as it was supposed to be, i dont think it was headed for anyones table, although we do love eating beef tallow here in texas, just not out of rail cars!
