I see Diesels Everywere

I am in Jordan (yes in the Middle East) and I think that basically every vehicle on the road is a diesel w/ the exception of the cars. It truly is wonerful looking at all the 123's on the road still tickin' right along.

I keep looking for one broken down so I can go take a peek under the hood and see what is wrong w/ it.

We're going on a long drive tomorrow. I will be sure to take some and post em. The MB vans are my favorite.

I can't help but think about transporting these beauties back home. I doubt there would be enought $$$$ in it to make it worth the time and expense; but I can dream right.

All the Nissan Frontiers and Tacoma's are diesel too.

I am assisting a Dentist in my church who comes over here yearly to do Missions Work for the Bedouin people. They are a fascinating group of nomadic people who are still sheparding the way it was done in the Bible times. Except they all have cell phones

Very cool man, very cool....I remember reading about them (the Bedouin) in a book "walking the bible". Interesting culture.

Have fun over yonder....

A year or so ago I was in the Abu-Dhabi airport waiting for our company officials to pick me up. noticed that all airport shuttle taxicabs were C Class 220CDI's, wish I could get them here but for now MB of North America is strictly interested in selling fully loaded guzzlers.

Jordan, man I thought you meant in TN! Last year we were driving our Chevelles from the Nashville Superspeedway back to Goodletsville ( big national Chevelle show each June), and we were antagonized by one diesel truck after another. I couldn't beleive it! They sure do belch plumes of black when they hop on it! Enjoy yourself over there!
