77 300D Climate control
I have an older model 77 300D with a climate control problem. It only works in the defrost mode. Otherwise, none of the buttons work. I have read all of the posts I can find about resodering the CCU, but they all seem to apply to the horizonal models while I have a verticle. Can someone tell me if resodering also applies to this one as well? I have checked the fuses and replaced them with copper fuses and they are all good. Is there another fuse for the blower motor somewhere that I haven't found? Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is getting hot here in Central Florida. Also, I need to r & r the vacuum pods. Can anyone give me source for these?

Defrost mode is the default mode. George Murphy sells the pods and repair kits. Search on his name here for his phone number. He does not have a website unless things have changed recently.
My money's on a failed ACC servo. Junkyard, rebuilt with aluminum body, or the solid state retrofit system are the only real options. Performance will sell you a new one for $1600. You could probably test your servo by plugging in a cracked, leaking but electrically/vacuum functional servo to see if your system gets back its features without hooking it up to the cooling system. Hate to spend that much money without a definitive diagnosis.
