redline dfc.

Hi everyone,
I have taken everyone's advice from this board and went out and bought some redline dfc for my new 79 300cd. I read the instructions and it said to use with 20 gallons of fuel. My question is should I pour it in when tank is full or empty? Should I wait until I do an extensive trip or is it ok to pour it in now and just ride it out in town and city? Some of you said use a whole bottle the first fill up and then use a certain amount of ounces after that. I want to make sure that I don't overdo it. I hope that I'm not sounding to rookish here. Just trying to be careful. Please help.

Pour it in on an empty tank. That way it will mix while filling. I run Stanadyne but only because the place that sells it is between my house and work. I do not know where they sell the Redline stuff in my area.

King Of All Redline Users, Here...

Add the first full bottle prior to fill-up, as this will allow thorough mixing when fuel is added.

Afterwards, when the first tank is almost exhausted, use 1/3 of a bottle per fill-up thereafter.

But remember that DFC and 85+ are identical...

And Jim, you and all other members of MercedesShop, can buy these fine products right here at PartsShop...:D

Redline users,
I buy my redline at pep-boys, the only place ive found it in columbus. Its getting more expensive, however the shelf tag still says $4.29, and i get it for that price everytime despite the fact when the cashier rings it up as $4.99.
I had a quarter tank when i emptied the contents in the tank just prior to filling the tank. I havent used it for a few months, and really only need to use a quarter to one-third of the bottle for every tankful.
Ive noticed after driving 10 or so miles, the engine will rev slightly higher according to the tech! No complaints here!!!:D
