Because whats a few cents more? I mean really whats money?! My C32 requires premium and thats what i put in. My S420 required premium as well! When my dad borrowed the car he had thought cheap and put in regular. The engine started knocking, ran the same but you could hear the engine knocking because it didnt retard the timing.

Its says premium for a reason.

On a fuel related note....

I am overseeing a clean out of an old Chemical Storage building on campus here. Each department that resides in the the attached building had a storage cage down here so they have been ordered to remove what they can use and that we will then package the rest up for proper disposal. The building is going to be demolished to make room for a larger Science research facility on its place.

Well... I go in there today and among other things I am looking for to save out from destruction are, of course, Methanol and Sodium Hydroxide (as well as a few Solvents are on my list of "to save"). And I come across one cage that is LOADED with five Gallon plastic carboys all labeled nicely as "Cotton Seed Oil" and "Biodiesel from Cotton Seed oil". About half and half. All dated like from Feb of 07 and on up. I mean at least 100 gallons of each when added all up. So I take the caps off and sniff em all and yea... they are all nice fresh Bio Diesel or Clean Oils. Nice stuff. Almost all the Bio Diesel is from a company in Texas. So I know this Professor must be doing some work with them for some reason. However I do not recognize his name. I am pretty sure I know all the ones here working in Bio Diesel and this guy doesn't come up on the radar. He is in a Biological Science Dept not even in the building so probably not doing work specific to production of Biodiesel. More than likely looking at microbes or something along that line.

However, he has until tomorrow at high noon to get back in touch with me or its all mine.

By the way, got 10 cases of 4L bottles each of unopened Methanol out of there today. No Sodium Hydroxide to be found but you can't beat already prepared Bio Diesel and Brand new fresh oil either.

Ruben, put some octane boost in it. The ping is pre-ingition. Not a good thing for an extended period of time.

Not all cars automatically adjust from RUG to PUG. I drove a Mustang SVO in the late 80's. Fast car, and required PUG. It did have a MANUAL switch to allow for RUG. PErformance was slower w/RUG.
