What's with this?

I was just looking at CL ads here, and I found three w123s in as many days which have seized engines because they were run without oil. Is there something aligning in the stars making people decide to ruin their engines this week?

Its insane how nice your cars look down there in the Sunny Saltless Regions....

Somebody buy the second two cars and repair them!, those are in beautiful shape!!!

People are so dumb, you really have to not know what your doing to run a car out of oil like that. Especially the first guy. "Tried to drive to the store without oil" wow....

I just moved here from the WI so I know exactly what you mean... it is crazy not just the condition, but how many go up for sale daily. I have actually gotten choosy about what type of car I am looking for now, whereas back home if it was diesel and it still started in the cold, I was into it

Probably most that are siezed were oil users that the owners were not diligent about keeping the oil changed and the oil level up and ran them with no or low oil....thats about the only way to destroy the bottom end of a mb.
