Build or option sheet showing 300td options?
Vin WDBAB93C0FF044903 1985 300TD. Just wondering what was stock on this car. The seats appear to be leather, not MB Tex.

The build plate with all the option codes included on your car is located on the front cite support. You can find a list of codes online.

Thats strange, EPC says invalid VIN on my 1983 300D which i verified on the VIN plates on the car to be the correct VIN. Maybe EPC wont pull up all VIN numbers for some reason...

Are US-VINs different?? Euro VINS start with WDB123... Though there's the odd VIN that can't be found in the EPC.

On USA cars you can find the VIN number and the chassis number. |

Ah! Thanks! The EPC probably wants the chassis number to eat then

Nope, it can deal with chassis numbers and VINs. If the car doesn't show in the EPC it can mean that:
- the number is incorrect or false - a Euro model is being looked up in the US version of the EPC - the car has been produced before approx. 1980 - rare occurances that the car was not entered in the EPC. And perhaps there are some more reasons. |

1979 450SL VIN # 10704412057783. WHERE CAN I GET DATA FOR THIS CAR? THE CODE PLATE UNDER THE HOOD IS MISSING. IS THERE A SITE THAT WILL GIVE ME INFORMATION ? BACK GROUND ON CAR. WHEN I ENTER VIN# I ALSO GET INVALED # . I ASSUME OLDER THAN 1980 WILL SHOW INVALED.

For pre-1980 cars (which don't show up in the EPC) the car data sheet (which shows the original engine, transmission, paint, interior and options) can be acquired via the MB Classic Centre in California. Car background checks (whether the car has been in an accident or has been stolen) is a different thing. MB or the EPC doesn't keep track of that, only if the engine or transmission has been changed (via a MB dealer). |
