Red face Diagnosing oil leaks - 300D

My parking spots are beginning to resemble a beach after an oil spill, so I'm considering tackling oil leaks in my 1981 300D non-turbo. It looks like the major source is a noticeable drip from the center frame piece to the rear of the oil pan/drain plug area.

What are likely oil leak areas to suspect at 209K and 27 years of age? Is a good cleaning and subsequent monitoring a good way to go? The engine starts easily in all conditions, runs strong, and has mild-to-moderate blow by. Only a bit of oil in the air cleaner housing, although the fittings on the bottom of the housing are grunged with what looks like oil. (Oil 'usage' is about 1 quart per 1300 miles).

I welcome any wisdom from past encounters with oil-leak issues.
