I am selling my Vogtland springs that i bought for my W123 300D because it was wrecked, but a potential buyer is asking if the Springs would work in a Wagon with SLS system? I know the springs make a sedan sit a little lower, and i was wondering if that would hurt or mess up the SLS system?

any input would be appriciated, especially if someone in the group buy added them to their wagon.

IIRC, a SLS equipped car does not have springs, as that is what the SLS struts and accumulators are for.

90 Dodge D250 5.9 Cummins/5 speed. 400K

The actuators are centered in the coil springs on a wagon with SLS. I don't know if those springs would work or not though.

Learn something new every day. I guess the springs do not support the car like on a standard suspension, since the rear can sag when accumulators go out.

I believe it's a combination of the coil springs and the base pressure valve in the SLS valve.

OTOH you could install the Vogtlands just in the front to bring the front end down. The SLS is adjustable for height, couldn't you lower the rear end that way if so desired? Any long-term effects on the SLS if one was to do so?

The thought had crossed my mind (to just do the front springs) but it was fleeting since I didn't really see the need in a N/A TD. If it were a turbo undergoing superturbo surgery I would have.

There is no need to put bogtlands on the rear of a wagon. Wagons have springs and SLS. 126's and maybe sedan 123 do not.
