Crank is back. rouglhy $65 to get polished. It did not need to be turned / reground. The bearing material melted and welded itself to the crank, and I am told that woth hardened cranks that is pretty typical. I was lucky enough to have ZERO material removed from my crank. all my measurements are standard. And I still have a hardened crank. wow

That makes sense. I pulled the pan from mine and did not find any metal. Guess I lucked out.
