Engine Stand Recommendation
I know this is going to sound silly, but does anyone have an engine stand brand they can recommend for an '83 240D engine? I borrowed one from a friend and the bell housing bolts are too short to fit through far enough into my block. i would grind/cut the engine stand, but it's not mine. : (
Haven't been able to find longer bolts that are strong enough to support the engine!! Crafstman, Harbour Freight? any suggestions? Thanks, Dale |

Any hardware store should have long enough grade-8 bolts.

I agree with Lance... Go to TruValue or one of the non big box ones and you will probably find what you need. You can also try an autoparts store and look for long cylinder head bolts.
I actually found my long bolts in the JY...
