Hello, ive searched this over and over here before posting and could not find anything specific enough to my problem.

1982 300D W/ Automatic

1. Had transmission mount repaired (was badly warn) at a trans shop.

2. A few days later it will not shift out of first gear, so I take it back to the trans shop and they adjust what they called "A linkage cable coming out of the transmission" and that fixed it for a few weeks.

3. It starts refusing to shift out of 1st again, and shop tells me a qualified MB repair shop needs to replace whatever linkage adjustment is coming out of the transmission


So... the only thing I found in the search that remotely sounded like my problem is a bowden? cable

But i have not read anywhere on here someones automatic not shifting AT ALL.
