hose that can handle brake fluid

I got some hose from a local shop to supply the clutch on my newly converted 300cd. The guy said it should stand up to brake fluid, but it's starting to sweat and get softer. I have been on a wild goose chase around town here trying to find something that will work. Everybody I have talked to said that there is nothing that will work for that. I live in Shreveport, LA, so I am honestly not surprised I can't find anybody that believes this exists.

I guess my question is, what can I use for this application (brake res. to the master cylinder), and where could I get it?

I think you might be looking for hose similar to what BMW use to supply brake fluid to the clutch master. I think it's silicone, you might want to try this part number #21 52 1 163 714. If that's not it, I might be able to do some further digging and find another number.

Call Phill, or check the dealer.

Do you have any Hydraulic hose shops in your area. the place you would go to get a new hose made up for your back hoe etc...

we have the Hose Shop, and they can make about anything, for anything. even MB.

Go to Napa or some other parts chain and they might have bulk brake hose. If not, order some from eBay or a performance shop.

I think we used standard metal brake line.

The OP wants`s to run the hose from the brake master cyl. to the clutch master cyl. on the clutch peddle. how do you run metal line to there .

It would have to very flexable.
