running red
Hi, I don't know about the new Mercedes models, I have old 220D's with mechanical injection systems. Don't they have electronic controlled injection systems? If so, beware.
I have a friend in OR who has a huge tank of red for his sawmill equipment. He purchased a Powerstroke Ford that uses computer controlled injection, started using red in the truck, and the red dye plugged the injectors. After two trips to the dealer for repair, new injectors were required, he was told that if he were to bring the truck in again, the shop would impound the truck and "report" him. They said the dye was the problem, and that he could not run the fuel. He now only runs road diesel. Ron
