Is there a better airconditioning flush that is recomended

I'm flushing the ac lines in the 350d 85 next week. I've got to change it over from r12 to r134. Got a new dryer. Should I disconnect the compressor. Is it ok to flush through the condenser coils. Are there any good or more recomended flushes.

I used methanol. Cleaned everything really well.

Old-style condensers can easily be flushed. Newer parallel-flow condensers are hit-and-miss with flushing. Don't flush any mufflers. These must be replaced if they need flushing.

Disconnect the compressor and do not get any flushing solvent in it. Flush the compressor with whatever oil you intend to use in the system.

None, if it's original.

So I'm correct in understanding that I can fill my condenser coils with a flush ,wait 15 to 20 minutes then flush it out with an air pressure hose to clean it out. I know i can do it with the hoses. Ray

That's one procedure that will work, but you failed to mention, "Repeat until the flush fluid comes out clean." Once may not be enough. And blow it out with the air hose for a good half hour, if not more.

Thanks I will.
