Grrr ... sunroof seal support mounted with *rivets* ?

I found why my sunroof seal wasn't staying put: the right rear corner is loose, because the metal bracket (green, in the attached terrible photo. EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not saying those are rivets in the photo; that's just the bracket) on which the seal sits is loose in that corner. Looking at it sideways I saw half a dozen screws holding that bracket in place, and the two in that corner were missing (the one next to those two looked a little bent).

But my mechanic looked it up and said those are rivets. I was going to remove the sunroof and screw that thing back in, but I don't know a dang thing about riveting.

Does anyone know? Are they really rivets? Has anyone successfully munged them? Thanks!

well i font know where the rivets are in the pic but if the piece is loose to need to drill out the rivets and then put some new ones in. Just to get a rivet gun they are like 20 dollars and then buy some metal rivets the aluminum rivets will be hard to put in.
