Too much transmission fluid???
I changed my transmission filter today. I added some fluid and ran the car and added some more and ran it some more and added some more....at that point the fluid level was right on. After a drive on the highway and letting the car cool off, I started her up and checked the level again and it was way too much. About an inch and a half above the full line... I'm thinking about draining the fluid out and filling it up again. How can I properly add and check with fresh fluid to get the right amount????

It'll read wrong with the car cold. Don't worry about it.

Just siphon some out through the filler tube while hot. Use a MityVac pump or a piece of tubing to pipete it out until you get the right level.

drive the car for 15 minutes, stop on a level spot, check the fluid level within a couple of minutes idling in park. Correct as needed. My $.02 Don
