You will need to specify which model you have. There were two 200D models in 1968, the W110 fintail body and the 200D/8 W115 body.

From Chilton's repair manual, 1959 to 1970 models:

Idle RPM: 700-800
Injection Pump Timing: 26 degrees before top dead center
Valve Clearance: .004" Intake, .016" Exhaust (cold engine)
Engine: OM621.VIII (621.918)
Horsepower: 60 @ 4200 RPM
Torque: 87 @ 2400 RPM

Not sure if the 220D will fit (I think it depends on the type of canister fitted), but I'll let you in on a little secret. The filter is the same as used on a 1939 to 1952 Ford tractor, models 9N, 2N, and 8N. Any parts house should be able to get it. The only catch is that the sealing gasket/o-ring for the housing is not the same. You will either need to reuse the o-ring from your car or buy a new o-ring from a Mercedes parts dealer. The o-rings can usually be used several times before they leak. The washer on the canister bolt usually never leaks. Best to buy several extra o-rings and drain plug washers instead of just one.
