What to look out for 190D
Yes, i have found a 1984 190D but its a 4 cylinder, I am aware of the "SLOWNESS" of the car but i love the amount that the car sips on 30+ Mpg, anyways what should i look out for in a 190D

What to look for:190d
1. Check the A/C. Replacing a leaking part is very expensive.
2. Check the Temperature Control Panel (regulator). These are easy to change but are not cheap, and the rebuilts are not always 100%. See if the temperature control knob will activate the compressor clutch. Also, see if the airflow changes in response to different settings on the control panel. There are vacuum operated doors that sometimes stick. 3. Oil Leaks. Front Seal and Head Gaskets are the worst culprits. Front Seal repair is not too bad, but the head gasket is. |

Check for rust, mostly around the jacking points. If the car is in good shape it would be one to buy as they are fun to drive.
