OH NO! Charlotte has cancer!
I tried to lift Charlotte up by the jack hole on the drivers side front and it collapsed and feel of the jack because rust had totally permeated the frame rail and rotted her out! I guess the car sat for a whole year and collected water inside it and there are places where I can see right through to the ground! Charlotte's not going back on the road after all! It looks as if I have a lot of good parts though in a running car with a tired body! Too Bad! I thoughtr I'd have another good running and driving 1982 300D Turbo!

Bummer.
Find a manual 240D with a dead engine. A good engine is worth more than what you paid for the car.

Charlotte has a good powertrain and I'm on to a hot lead on a rust free Arizona body. The previous owner put in a new radiator, fan clutch, 2 new rotors, new brakes, 4 new tires, 2 new rear axles, a new master cylinder and a brake vacuum power booster!
I definitely got my money's worth buying this thing.
