Need location of window relays-85 123

after much book reading, I found the relays in the schematic, I can not find the location in the car. Same problem I've previously searched, drivers side windows don't work. Both passenger side windows work. I know they are cross linked on fuses, drivers front with passengers rear, and vice-versa, and all fuses are good. Anyone know where the little suckers are?
the relays. I believe they are metal boxes. Possibly hidden under plastic?

The FSM says it is behind the instrument cluster. The picture shows it low on the right side, to the right of the ground connections.

I can't find any relays under the dash cluster or console. Are they tin or plastic? Are the two together in proximity? A pic would be very helpful.

Window Relay

There is only one window relay. It is immediately behind the instrument cluster. It appears to be in a metal case with four active pins. The very poor picture is from the CD-ROM version of the FSM.

The window relay is powered on whenever the key switch is in the "run" position. The relay simply takes the load of the window motors. It gets its power from fuse #12, according to the card in my fusebox (1985 300D-T W123). Since some of your windows work, it must be OK. The current flows from the relay back to the fuse box, where fuse #a handles the right front and left rear windows and fuse #b handles the left front and right rear windows.

The fuse labeling in the FSM wiring diagram is hard to read and does not seem to agree with the designations in my fuse card. I cannot explain this apparent discrepancy.

Given that both right side windows work and both left side windows do not work, I think you have a problem other than fuses and relays. Try swapping switches in the console and in the rear doors, see if you can get the problem to move. In the console, the cables may stretch enough for you to swap them and not disturb the switches.

You may simply have a coincidence of two separate problems with possibly the same original cause (example: corroded console switches caused by spilled coffee). Remember that both the front and rear switches must be OK for the windows to work -- current passes through the front switch and then the rear switch before it gets to the window.

I've cleaned (disassembled and reassembled) the drivers side twin switch, and also replaced it with another. Lockout center button works, but not the switches. I may try to add a lump of solder to the metal contacts as some looked a bit flattened.

Window relays found. This car is a 1985 240D euro. the 2 window relays are located on the firewall above the brake booster. Little tin cans screwed to the firewall with a phillips screw on each side. One line comes from the hot side of the battery to each relay. The other side goes to the window switches. And these relays control each side of the windows not criscrossed like US versions.
Windows are now working, but I still need a drivers console mounted front/rear/ rear lockout switch.
