Had we finished the race we would have been in 18-20 somewhere. Cant wait for next year, fewer drivers and fewer fuel stops, more hp and wider tires.

Sounds like your team had a great time and learned a lot for next time.

Plus you're going to drive next time right?

You've got a year to get some experience then.

I dont't think so. Pretty sure we'll be looking for a new engine. With 330k, a really bad tick/knock and low compression on 3 cyl.... It's a testament that the engine is still running.

What are the rules on engine swaps? Could a 603/6 find its way in their.

What they dont know wont hurt them. I would be concerned about the longevity of the aluminum head under the conditions that they run with.

Don't overheat it till it boils over, or just use a 606.

So a 606 with a massive turbo could finds its way under the hood.

Racing is all about stretching the rules...

I too am amused by the "tri-podding" in the corners. Especially that old Volvo!

Or the car being randomly chosen to get crushed. I don't imagine you get the leftovers... Those 603s are pretty expensive compared to 617s.

I am impressed that the handling was this good. But I wonder if you can make it more nimbler by using a rack and pinion in place of the classic steering gearbox.

Check out this link.
Has anyone converted to a rack and pinion?

He used a mustang rack and was a front steer. I wonder if you can keep it a rear steer and still use a rack setup.
