I hope someone else has a better answer but I think you have already tested it. The motor turns but dose not turn the regulator; my best guess is that this indicates whatever is between the electric motor and the (and transfers the power to the ragulator) regulator is worn out.

There are gears in there. It sounds like you have a stripped one. I have some used motors with gearbox available.

You can put 12 volts to the two leads from the motor. The motor has a floating ground. Swap the leads to reverse direction.

Observe if the regulator moves....

Most common failures are:

1. Regulator detaches from channel on bottom of glass.
2. Gear teeth strip out, usually at the point of closure.

Ditto to what Jim said.

When you removed the regulator, were there any bolts missing or loose? The factory uses a little blue loctite on there. Sometimes people dont put any after stuff been replaced and the bolts work themselves loose and cause a similar problem to what your describing.

Bolts all seem stock,im a little confused as to how to test the motor, the green/black cable seem so short,do i put them both onto the + on the batery, please explain, now that i have it out id like to learn more and maybe fix it.
Is the motor detachable from the regulator? is so can i use a motor from a driver side on a regulator for the passanger side?
Anybody have any pics?
Thanka crew im fighting here.
Got a rear driver side w124 window out of commision as well, may need the parts for that one too, looking for motors nd regulators with life in them.
