FM100 fuel/water separator

I purchased the this filter and will be setting it up once it arrives.

My question is this when installing this filter I would :

1. Remove the inline filter hose that goes to my IP and put that on the inlet of the FM100 and put a hose on the outlet of the FM100 then reconnect to the IP?

2. I assume this filter will also remove debris in addition to water?

3. Won't 3 filters cause a strain on the fuel pump? Maybe starve the system of fuel?

Concur. I have had the FM100 installed on a 1982 300D for a couple of years. There is no noticable difference in the performance of the engine with the Stanadyne filter installed. The primary filter is so course that it won't likely add any meaningful resistance, anyway.
