Well, at least I thought about all the things I could have got done on the cars if the free time had presented itself. Does that count? In the last few years I seem to not have time even to follow the interests I really enjoy doing. .Like repairs and upgrading my cars. That is going to change. I formally retired and became twice as busy.

Ooh the coco mats, and sheepskin covers, ... how I used to sleep with the MG Mitten, Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories, Griot's Garage catalogs in the '70s and '80s.
Nicely done.

Well truthfully and more seriously to point...

My front suspension has been totally redone (just about every single thing in the front replaced) along with new motor mounts and about to get a new Alternator into it too. Plus I fixed that regular rust spot under the battery box.

I sure could use to find a Parcel pouch for that drivers door though.

NICE! I want some of those. I got my sheepskins about 2 years ago from sheepskin.com, I just need the cocomats to complete the retro feel. Did you get them from cocomats.com?

Yes... those are the real deal from Cocomat.com. They are seriously heavy duty and well made. Ordered them four weeks back... and got them today. Well worth the wait and the tiny bit more money to get them from there.

Just before I bought it (reciepts included)
New battery
New tires
New front balljoints
New DS rear axle
New fuel & return lines

Since I got it (six weeks ago)
Replaced air filter
Adjusted ALDA
Blocked off EGR
Adjusted steering box
Replaced thermostat
Replaced glow plugs
Oil & filter change
Replaced steering wheel (13" racing wheel)
Replaced antenna ($65 generic)
Repaired sunroof
New wiper blades

Pretty much all small stuff I know, but I've only had it since mid-April - and I still haven't found time to wash it yet...

Lil Blackie BioBuggy - fresh cylinder head; it was hosed. Engine heater cord. Air filters behind the wiper, new fuel lines, tank strainer, fuel pump rebuilt, 2 new Toyos on front, alignment, now only needs a thermostat, and a speaker.

used to run quite poorly (powerwise) on 100 bio, not now, quite the opposite with all this new compression. awesome.

BTW, after running a healthy dose of bio thru it from 221K to 234K, you should have seen the piston tops!. You could see the flycut marks! Clean! Bio= GOOD!

Bought the car ( )

Fixed both front door's vapor barriers (gee, duct tape doesn't work so hot on those), thus fixing the water leak.
Cleaned up moldy goldfish crackers and (thankfully!) un-opened condoms under the rear seat.
Fixed driver's power seat switch
Fixed power antenna
Connected rear fog lights as brake lights
Found wiper blade in the junk bin at auto zone for the headlight wipers
Found that only Bosch wiper blades mount to the Mercedes wiper arms
Shampooed the carpet
Replaced broken puddle lights (Did ya know Mk2 VWs use the same assembly for the trunk light?)
Fixed a broken central locking actuator with super glue (only thing I found that would stick to the silicone)
Adjusted bowden cable for not-super-delayed shifts (must have not been set properly when the engine was replaced)
Fixed seatbelt buzzer unit so now the dome light works.

Coming soon:
All fluids changed, diesel purge done
Adjust steering box
Ecode lights (On their way from Germany as we speak )
Remove JVC headunit and CD changer, re-install factory 4 piece Becker unit (yes, there's the HU, a tuner in the trunk, and two amps behind the rear seat), and wire a line in for the Becker.

I love this car more every day

-Jason
