Agreed, my ADD kicks in at about the 2 hour mark.

Further agreed, my lack of ability kicks in at about the 3/4 hour mark. Any job longer than that, odds are I don't know how to do it.

You made the right choice! Its one thing to take on learning about cars and doing general maintenace, but to jump into structual rust on top of that after a $2,500 investment. The fact that the guy is making it into a parts car says it all. You are going to need a lot of time to gather, collect, make a mess or two, and learn WVO.
If you like to travel, find a car for sale in the shop forum here and bring it up from the south. You can find one that someone else has loved, and that has no rust.

Also remember that with diesel fuel at about $5.00/gal that its a buyers market right now. Even if its really a nice car it won't hurt you to offer something low like $1,900 and work up from there.
