Wow, talk about jumping to conclusions. Maybe it was a crappy neighborhood and it was a DIFFERENT set of punks who jacked his car.

I don't think he ever mentioned race or color... people just jump to conclusions...

This is why I would hide out and watch the car to see who is f--ing with it before dropping them with my cricket bat!

and HEY knock it off with racial prejudice! those kids walking by may have been stupid to mistake it for a jag, but that does not mean THEY took it. they may have been talking about the car at a hangout, and some low life of any color or nationality could have swiped it. it's also possible that your ex girlfriend may have followed you and decided to give you some payback...
or even the girl you were with's ex boyfriend...

I like the hotwiring the grille method. the paint ball method sounds like a way to get killed... they might not have paint in their guns... video cameras in the car with IR lighting would be good to capture the faces of the next thieves ....

'Cept when they break the door glass and steal the cameras...

I agree that a paintball gun is a good way to get killed. Pull any kind of gun and see what happens... you need a bunch of your own friends and a bunch of bats. Jack them before they can pull a piece -- if they touch the car, that is...

FWIW, he did say that one of the "suspected" thieves referred to one of his companions by a racial slur. Generally white guys can't get away with that, and racial slurs usually aren't directed at white guys either, so that leads one to believe that neither of them were white.

Does anyone know that this group of guys are the ones who damaged his car? No. However, about 95% of hood ornament thefts are by young punks, and the fact that they showed such interest in his car (and therefore that they made note of it) puts them at the top of the list of suspects.

I remember Mrs. Doubtfire did it to Pierce Brosman's Mercedes. Even cross dressing comedians can't help themselves.
