Another vacuum leak thread... this should be easy though
hey everyone,
so i have come up on my summer duty of fixing my rough shifting tranny on my 300SD. I i got my trust vacuum gauge and i hooked it up to the line leading to the vacuum pump from the brak booster. Read a solid 11 Now from all the reading i am doing, that number should be closer to 22. So i hooked up my vacuum guage to the metal like that leads and feeds the booster line. (hooking up my guage to pump directly) Read a solid 22. So obviously my booster line is bad. Is it possible that one of the connectors off of it is broken or should i simply just replace the entire line al together. I was thinking of plugging the lines coming off of it to isolate exactly where it is leaking. Suggestions anyone? |
