617 swap into gasser - wha to keep from donor?

The Good - I'm swapping in an OM617 into my Jeep.

The Bad - I won't be starting the swap 'til fall or so.

The Ugly - Um, me?

The wife wants the car (a '83 300SD) gone ASAFP, so I need to pull out all the stuff I will need and save it. I will be grabbing just about everything under the hood, but is there anything I will need to keep that's hidden behind the dash? Or in the trunk? Or somewhere else? I'll be using a manual trans with it, and my heep has no windows or door locks (power, or otherwise ) but it does have power brakes so I'll need some of the vacuum system.

When I get the car I will post pics, so if there are any bits and pieces any of you need that I'm not keeping, let me know.

Is there a preferred repair manual for the 617 - something like the FSM (that I can hopefully get for less than a mortgage payment)?

I was planning on the gauges, since that's prolly the only tach that'll work with the engine, right?
