I believe the first months are the easiest. they just eat, sleep and poop.

my 2 yr old now hides sockets, screwdrivers, etc and loves to say no, and beats on his 10 YO brother.

I think it gets hardest from 9 months till about 25 years.

I was suppose to "bury" mine at 13; then dig them up when they turn 25.:D

Congrats to you and the wife! Just another reason to drive an old Mercedes!!!

Chadahar 06-11-2008 12:30 PM

Congrats and I hope Mom and baby are well.

Just don't ever tell her you named her after CHADAHAR's 380SE "Sweet Abigail".

I was named after my dad's best coon hound..............NOT!
Just after my dad and granddad.

have mommy bring the baby to bed with her... baby gets fed while you guys sleep. WAAAAAAAAAY better than the bottle method and better than CONSTANTLY getting up in the night to feed/whatever her...

Luckily we discovered that with our first. He now has to sleep in his crib though because he has developed rolling abilities. :)

Congrats 'mutt-she's precious!

2 girls! At 8yo, I love my daughter to death. And I'm glad she's my only daughter. :D I'm not sure about that 6mo./13yr. thing, I'm at 10.5yo with my oldest and he's still a PITA.

RUN-EM 06-12-2008 06:37 AM

Congrats...

Hi guy,

Hope Mom and all is well. Get yourself about 10 pacifiers alla the same. Beats the "7734" (upside down) out of searching the kid's room floor at 2 am with a flashlight looking for one thrown outa the crib.

Regards,

Run-Em

winmutt 06-19-2008 02:50 PM

We are a pacifier less house hold.

Thanks for the grats from everyone. She is coming along well and Im actually getting sleep. #2 is so much easier than #1.

Beautiful baby! Tomorrow I am driving my oldest daughter to her college orientation............................................It doesn't seem possible:(. The beauty of children is that they really put life and all the so called "important" things in perspective. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

blackestate 06-19-2008 04:38 PM

congrats! I have 4, yes 4 girls.
My 2nd one was "helping" dad to work on the car one day.
After about 20 min, I could not find a wrench. Started looking... Man, they are all gone. They were just here. I must be getting.... "hey daddy, look at the trees for my barbie" She had planted them box end down, and was using them as trees. I could not stop laughing.

As far as cell phones... I go prepaid, and give them a set ammount per year. If they want more they have to buy them. And there had better always be time on the phone for DAD!
What fun new ones are.... Enjoy and remember how blessed you are!

Congrats. She does look precious. My daughter just turned 16 and she will soon be learing to drive on my Benz. It has much more visability than our Toyota van.

Biglex 06-20-2008 04:09 AM

Congrats. Since mine was born in January (little girl) I have realized that there is nothing in the world like having kids. I have been very lucky, my little angel goes to bed at about 1030 and sleeps til about 8-9 the next morning.

As for the texting, I send lots myself, and I grew up way before the cell phone rage, with her growing up with it, I SURE am glad my wife works for verizon wireless!!!

Brian Carlton 06-20-2008 09:17 AM

Congrats, Rolf.

Only 12 years or so until she can hold some wrenches for 'ya.:D
