"unwired" ac servo replacment

I am considering purchasing the (now $700) digital AC servo upgrade for my '79 MB 300SD. Are there some on this forum who have installed and are using this? Can you share your experience? How was the installation process? Does it work well? Last long? issues? Just looking for a few personal reviews. Thanks.

I installed an unwired kit a few months ago in my 79 300sd. It was easy to install with hand tools. It is a huge improvement from the servo. I would highly recommend it. I would not install another servo in my car.

Old post, but I just installed this kit and couldn't be more pleased. Took me about 90 minutes including the tidying up. Works better than the factory servo did before it broke on me. The kit is very complete..other than a few sheetmetal screws to mount the box it has everything you will need to do the install. The only part where I varied from tke kit was using a factory style 3-way vacuum connector to tap into the stock vacuum system instead of the T fitting they provide.

Almost more importantly, their customer service is top notch, at least with the rep I traded emails with trying to track down an electrical gremlin in the factory system. Most places would tell you to piss off once they determined your problem wasn't with their product, but he knew the ACCII system very well and helped me trace the problem very quickly.
