1984 300d tune up
Ok ive done quite a bit of work onmy new 300d but i cant get it to be as peppy as id like to,i have linkage turned up,valves adjusted,new afilters and a clean banjo bolt,still im a turtle when i get going.
Any more tips? Ive also turned the alda counterclockwise as far as it will go but still no faster. Help please. |

You didn`t mention if you changed the fuel filters. maybe the screen in the tank is a problem also.
Is this a new member to the family? or has your performance dropped off? also how many miles on the engine? maybe the compression is low. do a compression check. Charlie

all filters new,also tank was flushed,screen tank didnt look so bad.

1 - Diesel Purge
2- Add 1 large bottle of Diesel Kleen to tank, then fill tank 3- Drive car like Steve McQueen in "Bullit"until tank reaches near empty 4- change both fuel filters 5- repeat steps 2-4

Please do a couple of carefully timed 0-60 runs with a stopwatch and post the results.
