300d wet floor
Maybe someone has an answer. Whenever it rains I get a wet (really wet) rear passenger floor. Windows up, no water visible from sunroof, and no apparent leaks around the window. I am wondering if it is travelling down the window into the door but it doesn't seem like a likely route. Any suggestions on where to focus my search would be greatly appreciated.

Leaks in the front of the car or plugged drains (windshield, sunroof, etc.) are said to travel under the floor padding and pool in the rear passenger footwells. Others here can give more specific suggestions as to where to look.

Replace your rear window gasket. This is the most common place for leaks in the rear of the car. Been there and done that! EZ'er than most fix.

Check your hinge pockets, windshield gasket, sunroof drains, look for rust under the battery tray, and check your AC evaporator drains.

Open the hood and check the hood hinge recesses for debris. Drain holes for the windshield are down in there and when plugged water is routed through a hole or holes higher up the firewall and proceeds to the rear pass. side floor. There are also drain holes immediately behind the front wheels and in various other places.
I had to pressure wash my hood hinge recesses out and blasted out everything else on the car that looked like a drain. I also enlarged the hole in the rubber grommet that resides in the rear pass. side floor. Good luck.

free and fast checks
Two items that you can check for free, without any disassembly.
1. door gasket (Very easy to replace) 2. the rubber bellows between the hinges that carry the vacuum and electrical lines. (a little more involved replacement) The bellows on my front door was in several pieces, rain came into my floor easily. Replacing this very inexpensive item fixed the problem.
