BioD as cleaning fluid!
I had read a post a couple weeks ago about a person who dropped they key fob into some BioD and it cleaned the electrical contacts. My blower fans (both the cabin blower and the air sampling blower) have been issues since I bought the SDL. They screeched to a stop a while ago and my fix of sraying them with contact cleaner and oil did not last for more than a week.
I removed both blowers and soaked them in a container of BioD. The amount of black powder (carbon from the brushes? soot?) than came out was amazing. after soaking overnight I left them on newspaper to dry and put them back. The two blowers have been working and Ihave had no problems since. I will update if they fail again... I am going to bottle BioD as BioClean Not only did it clean out the blower motors, it softens your hands while you use it Cleaned the gunk out from under my nails that resulted from pulling the blowers too!

I read that other post too. Glad to hear it worked again!
I wonder if it would work to remove sticker residue? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't harm the paint. I'm going to put some in a bottle myself.

It will eat paint. I used to store biodiesel in a green barrel, and it ate the paint of the top of it. Granted auto paint is a little tougher than the stuff on a barrel, but I wouldn't mess with it. There are plenty of good cleaners out there that will get sticker goo off. Try Goof Off.

BioD as a cleaner
Not only does BD clean the engine, fuel system , etc but will clean almost any metal part. even better if you make BD the Glyceron removed is a good metal cleaner as well, (I have about a hundred gallons of it if anyone wants any), JUST BE CAREFUL TO REMOVE ALL THE LYE AND METHANOL. THATS NASTY STUFF ON YOUR BODY. IT WILL SOAK THRU YOUR SKIN. my 2cents

Not only is BD a good hand cleaner, it smells good and seems to add moisture, like softens chapped hands, too. Easier to leak out of your motor, making a mess, but then your motor parts clean up easier! Too bad it is getting such a black eye these days regarding food shortages...

Soak the intake manifold in biodiesel overnight and (with a little scrubbing) it'll remove all the built-up EGR crap.
