D/S outer air vent - no flow

Hello,

The D/S air vent on the 240D is like the vents on the 300D - you can open/close it by turning the mechanism. The problem is, Ive verified that it is open, and dont get any air. The P/S outboard air vent works, and the two center ones do too.

Any suggestions for a troubleshoot before I open things up? Its not really a big deal, as the center vents blow great, and the AC is cold... but it would be nice to get air from there.

is there a spot under the dash where the duct can come off? Any typical spots to check first?

Thanks,

JMH

I happen to have my instrument cluster out right now working on an electrical issue and I can see the vent hose runs directly behind the instrument cluster and attaches right behind the key switch. If you push your cluster out from the back, you might be able to get a look and see if it has come off. (Drop your bottom panel and look from the bottom first). Also, check under dash to see if you feel air blowing down there from a disconnected hose.

Best of luck. KRW
