Hello All,

My daughter's (1989 560SEL) car has developed an issue while she is on a road trip. She is about 170 miles from her destination and I'm hoping she'll make it. Once she arrives she'll be there for 3 weeks and wont need car UNTIL her return trip.

Can any reccomend a good shop in or near Lake City, MI???

This really ticks me off....I spent over $500.00 at the dealership making sure the car was "good to go" and was told it was.

I guess their crystal ball was on the fritz. Of course they probably used an OBDII crystal ball and everyone knows they won't work on twenty year old cars.

Several members live near that area.

My family has had very good experiences with the Mercedes dealer in Acme (Traverse City). That was on a (then) current model S class. But they seemed to be honest and competent.

If she is going to Lake City I'd assume she's coming right up US131 north....which goes right through GR. Lake City is 109 miles north of us. So if she's 170 miles from her destination then she would only have to make it about 60ish miles to get to Betten. Kalamazoo MI has a MB dealer too I think, that'd be even closer to her probably less than 15-20 miles!

And as another person asked, what is wrong with the car??
