Putting head back on.... Please help
Hello all
I bought an 86 300 SDL with it`s new (rebuilt) head......in the trunk The old head was cracked, so the previous owner bought the rebuilt one, and gave up after a while, and sold it to me as-is. Now it`s my job to put it back together, and the only thing i did was install the gasket and tightened the bold with the torque wrench. My question to you all is: What the heck do i do next, since i wasn`t there when they removed it, and, even tough all the parts and bolts and nuts are neatly arranged in 3 or 4 boxes, i don`t know where they all go.... Please help, please...

Did you measure the head bolts for elongation? Did you observe the torquing process - XX Nm, 90*, 90*?
Do not attempt to tighten the camshaft bearing towers without knowledge of the proper tightening process and sequence. You need a factory service manual. Sixto 87 300D |

I did not measure the bolts, but they`re all without the washers, which i hear is the updated version.
I did follow the tightening specs, 15 Nm, 35 Nm, 90 degrees, 90 degrees. And yes, i know i need the service manual, hopefully someone here can send me the cd images thru yahoo mesenger. I did not do the cam yet, waiting for your guys`s input...

It`s not about saving 20 bucks, it`s about the dealer taking 2 weeks to get them for me...
