Question 93 300 sd bulb out indicator'

Is there a way to bypass the bulb out indicator light ? can it be done at the sockett where the bulb is missing ??? by adding a resistor in line to replace the bulb ? I am running a seprate relay for head lamps and need 1 of the stock head lamp socketts for control voltage. thanks J

Maybe I don't understand the situation but why not just remove the warning bulb?

Does your car use the big lamp monitor relay like the older cars? If so just get a wiring diagram, disconnect the power going to that relay for the high and low beams, and use those wires for the triggers for your relays. Then the system can still monitor the other lamps on the car.

As I understand it the system works like this:

battery --> fuse --> light switch --> bulb monitor --> bulb --> ground

If you disconnect the "signal" before it gets to the bulb monitor, it doesn't know the switch is turned on.
