Anyone have a SD rotor they could measure?
I'm in the middle of brakes & shocks on my 85SD. I bought some Bremo rotors & the fronts are 11 3/4" in diameter which is 3/4" larger than the old ones. Timken bearing seals were picked up at AutoZone and are too large. The hub measures 68mm where the bearing seal installs. I'm hoping that the rotors will work and that I'll be able to find the correct seal without waiting until Monday when the bearing/seal store opens. I can't do anything about it now but I'm wondering what's going on. AutoZone gave me the part they have listed but it doesn't fit. Any ideas or measurements handy?

86-up have bigger rotors.
Seals are the same so I don't know what's going on there. Sixto |

solved
300SD Front rotors changed with build dates beginning 10/85 & later. (Why the change? 85 was last of SD as SDL cameme out in 86?) The thickness would work however, they are approx 3/4" larger in diameter thus moving pad contact surface out which will not work. AutoZone lists an incorrect part as the front wheel bearing seal. I ordered the seal from Advance (Beck Arnley vs Timkin AZone) and it is correct. Advance (this store at least) will price match any competitor including internet distributors. I'm returning the incorrect rotors to USAutoParts & will make Advance match price and free shipping depending on whether they can get Bremos in a reasonable time.

Autozone is useless, but it sounds like you got 86+ W126 rotors.
