1995 E300D Idle speed control relay
I have diagnosed my A/C problem to this... I replaced the Klima relay, wasn't the issue. Anyone need a used Klima relay, let me know. I have narrowed my problem to this... I can get the A/C to engage at a RPM of over 1000 and keep it going, turning it off and on with the PBR. But as soon as I drive off and the idle drops, within a couple miles, the A/C kicks off. I have to turn the MB off and restart and now the A/C will work at over 1ooo RPM. Any thoughts? Is there such a relay, idle speed control?

The Answer!!!
The answer to my A/C problem...
The "air gap" between the a/c clutch and the compressor is too great. It can be adjusted and set to within specs. What is happening is that when the rpm's are over 1,000 there is a greater pull by the magnet in the compressor, keeping the clutch engaged. When the rpm's lessen the magnetic pull weakens and the compressor and clutch separate, therefore causing no A/C. |
