Source for new or rebuilt torque converter

Is there anywhere I can buy either a new or rebuilt torque converter for my 81 300sd other than the stealership?

I have my trans apart and my donor trans apart and getting ready for the rebuild but I need to get moving on finding a converter so its ready to go when I get this trans done.

Glad I got a donor trans for the hard parts as my planetary gearset is pretty much exploded. Not sure how it was still even moving. Donor trans is from an 85 gasser, using internals from it to rebuild in my SD's case.
Will post when I am all done.

Ordered parts last week from www.egermanparts.com and www.bulkpart.com Quick shipping from both. Got what I ordered, would use both again.

Adsit Co may sell them but beware of their aggressive warranty/return policy.

When I had the tranny of my W210 car rebuilt the shop got a rebuilt torque converter from somewhere . . . so you could ask a local transmission shop in your area. There have to be places that rebuild them. They might even ship one to you and take your core.

Thanks guys. I am going to check with a local shop that builds converters and see if they can reman it. They have a pretty good rep with the hotrodders around here so hopefully they can do it. Just want to find all my options so I can get it going. Hopefully will have the trans back together by the weekend.
