Does it get any better than this...

Maybe a bit expensive, but this is a beauty! Really wonder why so low miles though.

If the mileage is true, I'm sure that leak is the first of many to come. Regardless, a very nice car.

That's a pretty wicked looking leak. I see the dampness on the block below now. I think that picture is intentional. Notice no comment in the text.

Its coming from up higher than the delivery valves, more like the shutoff actuator seal.

Its a nice car, I'm just suprised at how much its going for.

I wouldn't trust those original tires to go very far!

Yeah thats what I was thinking....I don't think 15+ year old tires is a wise choice!

Looks very pretty indeed, I wish my car looked like that. Maybe someday I will find a nice one.

don't tires outgass and fail based on time? I mean, if the car was parked ALL the time inside in a conditioned garage, they would be in PRETTY good shape, but 15YEARS! 10K is nothing on a set of tires as far as tread goes, but the rubber has got to be unsafe by now.

Yes, I would keep the existing original tires for display purposes in my museum (if I had one) but put new tires on it for actual driving.

Whoever buys this car, if they drive it like a "normal car," will find that after a few years, when it has 30,000 miles on it (or more), it will be worth at least half of what they paid for it. Only way to maintain the value is to put it up on blocks -- and what fun is that?

Is a W124 really museum worthy?

If I had a Mercedes museum, I would have a W124 in it as the first "modern" Mercedes and as a counterpoint to a W123 car as the last "classic" Mercedes.

Caveat: both "classic" and "modern" are weasel words: they can mean whatever you want them to.

I tend to suspect the milage. Think I will drop them a line and ask if the oil change booklet is included with the car. If not it would raise my suspicions a lot. I am not going to bid on this car either way. Will mention what they say in awhile. Thats if I get a response at all.
Update. No response to question on my in mail this morning. Maybe their busy. If the booklet is not with the car I would think the new purchaser will have been had. If I do recieve an email will post it.

What's the Story?

Too: Pretty,Clean,Un-Dented

AND the motor is not even broken in [If the miles ARE TRUE (Ho,Ho,Ho,LOL)]

I think you might be able to insure this with Hagerty's for about 25K

[Damn,So that's what it looked like coming out the doors in Stuttgart]
